MiNDS, Master in Natural Resources Development and Storage

From theory to practice: why do an Eni Master’s?

A complex and continuously changing scenario like the energy world requires people who are able to tackle new challenges every day, through training blending cross-cutting knowledge of the energy sector with highly specialised competences. The Eni Master’s, organised in collaboration with the Politecnico di Torino, will be renewed from academic year 2023-2024 to offer a high standard of excellent training, developing the latest skills to respond to the current and future challenges of the Energy sector, and has become MiNDS: Master in Natural Resources Development and Storage. The aim is to provide students with specialist skills and a 360° view of the energy industry, with a special focus on Natural Resources and Energy Transition, which can be used in practice in the sector. Over the years the Master’s has trained young professionals in the energy sector, to equip them with skills that can be applied in business reality.

Within 6 months of graduation, subject to successful completion of pre-employment verifications, Eni will make a proposal to participants who finish the Master's degree with a weighted academic average of 27/30 or higher for permanent employment in the company, in line with the specialization achieved.

Admission requirements

The Master’s are open to young graduates meeting the following requirements:

  • By 30 September 2023, a 2nd cycle degree with a final score of at least 100/110 (or equivalent foreign qualification) in:
    • Energy and Nuclear, Aerospace and Space, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical and Environmental Engineering, Computing, Physical-Mathematical Models for Industrial Engineering
    • Materials Engineering
    • Physics
    • Mathematics
    • Geological and Geophysical Science
    • Age under 30 at 31 December 2023
    • Excellent knowledge of the English language, which will be assessed during the selection process.

The enrolment fee for the Master's will be paid for all students directly by Eni to the Politecnico di Torino.

The structure of the Master’s

The training programme has a ‘learning by doing’ approach and includes a period of classroom lectures at the Politecnico di Torino and project work in Eni's operations offices in San Donato Milanese. The lessons are taught by university and company lecturers and include case studies and seminars by Eni managers and experts.

All lessons are taught in English, due to the international and technical context in which we operate.
